Alexander Köppel
Alexander Köppel was born in 1992 in Munich. He studied Interior Architecture at Burg Giebichenstein, University of Art and Design in Halle and Architectural Design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Early on he developed a strong interest for sound and space, which lead to various sound installation projects and productions. After being trained in classical piano for ten years, he finds himself experimenting within electronic music production as an autodidact.
Influenced by techno, ambient and experimental compositions, his work circles around the phenomena of repetition, memory, spatial and architectural structures and landscapes. He had his live performance debut as an artist at the Spatial Sound Institute in August 2017. Alex continues his studies in Amsterdam, holding a scholarship from the german academic exchange service.
