Listen Ensemble
The Listen Ensemble is shaping its projects around digital cultures. Neither orchestra nor collective, it does not defend an aesthetic but a way of construction: open, collaborative, hybrid and transversal. Its actors constitute a network of collaborators with varied backgrounds and disciplines. Performing musicians, researchers, composers, electro musicians, videographers, companies with innovative technology cross their knowledge and probe the new expressive forms related to the digital world. The Listen Ensemble is a social and technological laboratory, an exploratory approach with variable geometry inspired by the anthropological break of digital cultures (free software, networks, hacking, open data, etc.). Beyond the technologies used, their interest is in the modifications of the relationship between individuals, the redefinition of the social space and the changes in the ways of representation.-
