Gábor Lázár




Gábor Lázár was born and lives in Budapest. He studied electronic music and media arts at the University of Pécs. After his first album released in early 2014 at Lorenzo Senni's imprint, his next release "EP16" came out on Boomkat's label The Death Of Rave and caught magazines' attention like The Guardian, Fact Magazine or Secret Thirteen. In 2013 he collaborated with Russell Haswell and they made a split tape together. In 2014 Gábor started to work together with Mark Fell and released a 2LP full-length album in 2015 which was mentioned by Resident Advisor as a major breakthrough of his.

Since 2014, Gábor has done performances at culturally and professionally important venues such as ZKM - Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie in Karlsruhe, Berghain in Berlin, The Empty Gallery in Hong Kong or La Casa Encendida in Madrid. As an artist in residence, he spent one week at EMS - Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm where he worked with the legendary Serge modular synthesizer. He had a two-week long audiovisual solo exhibition at House of Electronic Arts in Basel where he made an installation for 12 LED lights and sound.
