Camille Roth

Camille Roth is a Copenhagen-based sound artist. She has a BA in aesthetics and culture, and a master in modern culture & auditory culture. During her studies in cross-disciplinary art forms, she developed a high interest in field-recordings and sound installations in various scales, which set the direction for her current artistic practice.

The sound installations by Camille Roth mainly consists of manipulated field-recordings, where organic sounds are being processed into tactile sound textures, and staged spatially, in relation to the body of the viewer. During her residency at the Spatial Sound Institute in the fall 2018, she collaborated with sound artist Rebekka Bohse Meyer in developing a spatial sound sculpture titled Myths of Electromagnetism.
